Participating artists in the Eastside Culture Crawl open the doors of their studios to the public.

The 2012 Eastside Culture Crawl will be held November 16-18 all across East Vancouver, BC. This three-day visual arts event connects hundreds of East Vancouver Artists with art lovers by allowing event goers to see the art and meet the artists in their studios.

Over 15,000 attendees are expected for this free exhibition, so now is a good time to secure your East Vancouver lodging.

Vancouver’s Eastside Artists Present a World of Art Mediums

Over 370 Vancouver artists, ranging from emerging to internationally recognized, are scheduled to display their works and methods at Eastside Culture Crawl. Mediums on display include:

Eastside Culture Crawl Covers East Vancouver Visual Arts Scene

The event locations are bound by Victoria Drive and Main Street north of First Avenue in the east side of Vancouver, Canada.  77 individual studios, galleries and other venues will open their doors to the art-appreciating public.

Major venues include:

Artist Resource Center (The Arc) exteriorArtist Resource Centre (The ARC)

Located on Powell Street at the bottom of Commercial Street, the ARC will feature the works of 21 Vancouver artists.

Glass Onion Studio

Glass Onion Studio in Strathcona at 1103 Union St is scheduled to display works from 12 artists.

The Mergatroid Building

The Mergatroid Building at 975 Vernon Drive in Vancouver will house the works of 50 Vancouver artists.

Octopus StudiosOctopus Studios

12 artists are scheduled to display their works at Octopus Studios in Strathcona’s Japan Town, on Powell and Dunlevy.

Parker Street Studios

Parker Street Studios interior

Home to the works of 129 scheduled artists, Parker Street Studios is a premier arts space housed in a grand old industrial building.

Portside Studios by Corrine W.Portside Studios

Located at the corner of Powell Street and McLean Drive in Vancouver, Portside Studios has scheduled to display the works of 15 artists.

William Clark Studios

William Clark Studios is located at 1310 William Street in Vancouver and will display the works of 30 artists.

There are also dozens of smaller venues scattered across East Vancouver that will feature 1-10 artists’ works, making this event a great opportunity to explore both Vancouver art and the east side of the city.
