Voice of BC's Professional Bed & Breakfast Industry

Okanagan Greens Society

The 7th Annual Organic Okanagan Festival will be held on September 23, 2012.  Organized by the Okanagan Greens Society, the Organic Okanagan Festival (or OOF) is dedicated to promoting sustainable green farming, products and trade in the Central Okanagan of British Columbia.

The overall message of this year’s festival is “Love the Apple – NO GMO”. In response to Okanagan Specialty Fruits’ recent request to Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Health Canada to approve their “non-browning” Genetically Modified (GM) apple variety, the festival will celebrate organic apples with:

Organic Central Okanagan Apples

The 2012 Organic Orkanagan Festival celebrates the humble, but vital apple grown without chemical fertilizers or food additives, irradiation, industrial solvents, or synthetic pesticides.

  • Live organic apple juicing with Old Meadows Farm & the Mobile Juice Factory
  • Inspired organic apple culinary creations
  • Organic apple panel discussion
  • Organic apple art and more

Consider the Central Okanagan lodging of our member bed & breakfast inns to pair your festival experience with personalized accommodations.
