2014 Lillooet Beer and Wine FestivalThe 5th annual Lillooet Beer and Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 13th, 2014 – and you do not want to miss it!

Known for its breathtaking scenery, long, balmy summers, and rugged ranching and railroading terrain, Lillooet has been busy making its name in other ways as well, namely by transforming itself into a notable source of local, fine wines and craft beers – and what better way to celebrate and advertise this success than holding an annual Lillooet Beer & Wine Festival?

The 2014 Lillooet Beer and Wine Festival is more than just an excuse to sample a healthy amount of regional wines and small-batch beers. It’s also a family-friendly event that features fresh food and vineyard tours, beer-making demonstrations, live music, an arts and crafts fair with plenty of fun and educational distractions for kids and adults alike, plus horse & buggy rides, vendors of locally made goods, and more.

A successful annual event, last year’s Lillooet Beer and Wine Festival attracted more than 800 people and this year is expected to draw an even greater attendance – and no wonder! The Lillooet Beer and Wine Festival is free to attend and there’s even a local shuttle service between town and the Fort Berens Estate Winery, where the festival is held each year.

Fort Berens Estate Winery, which hosts this popular, day long event, has been in the business of making Lillooet wines since 2005. Busy completing a new winery facility and wine shop, which they hope to open this fall, Fort Berens’ will continue to be a major factor in Lillooet’s forward momentum as a new destination for fine wine and craft beer enthusiasts alike.
