The BC Bed & Breakfast B&Bkeepers Guild, founded in 1995 as the Western Canada Bed & Breakfast B&Bkeepers Association, and renamed in 2007, has again evolved, and changed its name to BC Bed & Breakfast Association effective immediately. 
With the rapidly changing accommodation landscape and the explosion of short-term rentals, our association will not only include quality approved Bed & Breakfasts, but will also now welcome licensed short term rentals (STRs) that meet our Quality Assurance standards. This includes verified AirBnBs that have a municipal business license having met the criteria required to obtain that license. In jurisdictions without a licensing regime, compliance with City of Vancouver licensing requirements will be accepted in lieu of a business license.
We will offer our guests the choice of the full Bed & Breakfast experience, with personalized hospitality in addition to very comfortable overnight accommodations, followed by that delicious home-cooked breakfast that is the hallmark of a great Bed & Breakfast experience. But if your preference is to look after yourself and your own meals, our self-catering hosts will provide that choice in accommodations, while still offering a personal touch.
The choice is up to our guests, but all accommodation providers that are part of our association are fully licensed where required and meet high standards in cleanliness, comfort, safety, and hospitality. No matter how you define your perfect personal getaway, our members offer accommodations for every taste.

BC Bed & Breakfast Association is a province wide professional Association of B&B B&Bkeepers and licensed self-catering hosts, formed for education, marketing and representation purposes. Our members are independent B&B innkeepers, and hosts of British Columbia STRs who must adhere to the standards of our quality assurance program (QAP). Advocating for guests’ comfort and security, and also respect for neighbors’, such as noise and parking, are part of our QAP.
