The Whistler Winter Arts Festival, held throughout February, will be especially exciting this year as Whistler prepares to celebrate the one year anniversary of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Rekindling the spirit and enthusiasm of the Games is this year’s theme. If you have a favorite photograph from the Games feel free to submit it by visiting the Whistler Winter Arts Festival website and following the link there. Photos will be on display in Millennium Place during the event.
The Celebrate Live weekend, February 11 to 13, is part of the larger Whistler Winter Arts Festival, which includes village animation such as snow sculpting, art and photography exhibitions and literary soirees taking place February 1 – 28, 2011. Former Olympic Volunteers are encouraged to don their red and white uniforms or Captain Canada costumes to show their Canadian pride.
