The 2012 Sooke Fine Arts Show runs from July 28 through August 6 at SEAPARC Leisure Complex. 8,000 attendees are expected for this event, so it’s a good time to secure your accommodations in preparation for your visit to the Sooke area of British Columbia.
A History of Celebrating BC Fine Arts
The Sooke Fine Arts Show, the longest-running adjudicated event of its kind on Vancouver Island, is now in its 26th year of promoting and encouraging appreciation of fine art and artists. This annual event is organized and presented by the Sooke Fine Arts Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of local fine art and hosting this event as well as public art education on technique and expertise.
Sooke Fine Arts Show Events Offer a World of BC Art…and More!
The focus of the art show is, naturally, fine art and the artists, but there’s also music, gourmet food, wine, events for kids and seniors, and much more.
There are art submissions from all categories to view, including:
- Two Dimensional
- Three Dimensional
- Ceramic & Glass
- Fibre Arts
- Jewelry
- Photography
- Mixed Media and More
Artist submissions will be judged and compete for category awards and $12,000 in prizes.
