TD Victoria International JazzFest features music ranging from traditional to cutting edge.
The annual TD Victoria International JazzFest runs from June 22 through July 1, 2012 at venues all across Victoria, BC. Since 1985, the Victoria Jazz Society has organized this festival (formerly known as JazzFest International) to promote local, regional, national and international jazz, blues and world music bands and performers.
A World Class Jazz Festival Lineup Plays Victoria’s Music Hot Spots
The 2012 JazzFest lineup is an eclectic mix of jazz, blues and world beat artists and they are performing at some of the finest live music venues in Victoria.
The more than 300 performers at this year’s event hail from locations across the globe, including Algeria, Benin, Canada, Cape Verdé, Cuba, Denmark, England, France, India, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the United States, and more.
There will be over 80 individual performances on 14 stages, both indoors and outdoors, at venues ranging from spacious concert halls to intimate club and restaurant settings.

THE PLAYERS
Returning to JazzFest for the first time since her captivating 2005 appearance, Dianne Reeves is one of the premier jazz vocalists in the world.
George Benson is the winner of 10 Grammy Awards and one of the top jazz guitarists in history. He has branched out to also become a lauded jazz vocalist.
Janelle Monáe first attracted attention with her electric performance of the song Tightrope and went on to garner a Grammy nomination for her 2010 album, The ArchAndroid.
Chris Botti is a trumpeter who has become America’s biggest-selling instrumental artist. He has performed with pop headliners ranging from Sting to Joni Mitchell.
